Good race for him. He needs to do more than two out of 19. If he loses to massa next year then he should be out of f1. Massa was abysmal.

Bottas didnt deserve a 10. He wasn't perfect, slower than Q2 in quali and admitted to making a mistake. In the race he couldve took Hulkenberg but dropped off Alonso. Only Grosjean and Vettel deserve a 10 for being perfect. Bottas should be a 9 with Alonso, Hulkenberg, Hamilton and Perez. Those 5 performed on the same level given the cars performances.

I liked his overtake on Esteban. Like Kimi on Hulkenberg last year :)

I don't want to give high marks too often or it become the norm. I see 5/6 as average, 8 is good/very good. Alonso got an 8 because he dropped a place at the start and this compromised him to an extent. Without that, he had a shot at Hamilton, who only finished 2s up the road.

Everybody starting on the dirty side dropped places, though.

Mark Webber started on the dirty side and didn't drop places off the start, in fact his start was equal if not better than Vettel. His line through T1 was compromised, hence he dropped places.

I beg to differ. Grosjean already had his front wheels in front of Mark's before the pit exit line. His line was compromised because he couldn't clear the car behind him and move over to the outside, which I would say counts as losing places at the start.

Only his initial getaway was good. He then got some wheelspin and lost whatever advantage he had.

I'm thinking maybe Vettel is hinting that there maybe an issue with the new RB design next year, and they know they won't be on it, like they have been the last few years. Hmmm could it be his reign is coming to an end? :zz:

Yeah, wheelspin because of the dirt :p. Alonso got wheelspin after a good getaway too.
