It was a great race this F1 comeback to USA. Well deserved victory for Hamilton, not a fan of him but i´m gonna miss him driving at McLaren. I don´t know if Vettel was giving really everything he had of course he didn´t want a retirement so he didn´t fight really hard but that last lap was interesting he gave everything almost passed Hamilton lol. Really disappointing race for Mercedes again.
About the Ferrari strategy I agree it´s not a pretty thing to do no doubt but I don´t think it is that much a big deal. At the end of the day it was a good result and letting Alonso start from a clean position helped. It is harsh for the other driver? Well yeah, but Ferrari 2nd driver already knows how things work and after agreed to work in this conditions well, that´s life it´s already an honor to drive that car. That´s Ferrari choice to have 1 driver that fights for the championship being the other weak I don´t agree with that but well that´s their choice.

I really like the circuit layout. Doesn't feel like the other lifeless tilkedromes. I think it'll become a real classic real soon, and in 20 years time we'll rate it like we rate Monza, Spa, Silverstone nowadays...

Technical Report
A seal was broken on the gearbox of car number 01, driver Sebastian Vettel, in order to change the LHS output flange lip seal and O-ring.
This was done in accordance with Article 9.5.2 of the 2012 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
A seal was broken on the gearbox of car number 04, driver Lewis Hamilton, in order to change the first gear ratio due to physical damage, the layshaft seals and forward gearbox oil pump.
This was done in accordance with Article 9.5.2 of the 2012 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations and Article 28.6d of the 2012 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The Ferrari team has broken one seal on the gearbox of car number 06, driver Felipe Massa. The seal was applied on the RHS cross shaft cover.
According to Article 28.6e of the 2012 Formula One Sporting Regulations this is deemed as a gearbox replacement and this replacement took place before the end of five consecutive Events. As this is not in compliance with Article 28.6 of the 2012 Formula One Sporting Regulations, the driver should drop drop five places on the starting grid at this Event and I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.
The FIA Formula 1 Technical Delegate
Jo Bauer
Can someone explain what
LHS output flange lip seal and O-ring means ?
Thanks in advance

Essentially, they changed a gasket and the o-ring. This is allowed with no issues.
