Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Perhaps my last post wasn't clear. It has the same meaning, what I meant was it doesn't sound as good. People won't still be quoting it in two years.
Yeah it is. Since Valencia the only race where Rosberg's been the leading Merc is Hungary. Since his car stopped breaking down Schumacher's been very solid (Hungary crapiness aside), shame the car is no longer competitive.

Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Anyone know what tyres the Mercedes were running in the final stint?
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
"Michael completed a two-stop strategy, running option/prime/prime, and stopping on laps 15 and 37. Nico also stopped twice today, running option/prime/prime, and stopping on laps 14 and 38."
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Rosberg has really disappointed me to be honest. Schumacher was inferior in 2010 and most of 2011, but this season he's had the upper hand a lot. Since Monaco, Rosberg has been nowhere. I had him as a title contender at that point.
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Thanks. Someone told me they were on different tyres. I didn't think that was the case.
Yeah Rosberg's had some technical problems which havn't helped, but he's been very meh lately. Some of his performances have been like Schumacher in 2010.

For the first time in 2012, we have drivers mathematically out of the hunt: d'Ambrosio, Petrov, Kovalainen, Glock, Pic, De La Rosa and Karthikeyan.

Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Webber has really fallen off the pace since he resigned for RB. qualifying out of the top 10 and generally poor pace in the races..

Maldonado 25. Lmao, all in one race
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
Every race since then that win has seemed more and more bizarre. So bizarre because it was such a good drive. A straight fight against the best driver in the field and he won. It was a brilliant drive. Since then...
Most interesting driver on that classic tracks list, the one that sticks out, for me is DC.

Now that's surprising.Edi96 wrote:The European season is over now. Here is the final championship standing with European races only:

I always call Canada as part of the European season, even though it isn't.
Early flyaways, European season (irrespective of whether it's Europe!) and then the end flyaways.
Seven non-European races to end the year, crikey. That's tough.
Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2012
If we compare Lewis' (3 wins, 6 podiums) and Kimi's (0 wins, 6 podiums) season so far, we can see how important consistence is. Despite winning 3 races, Lewis is only 1 point ahead of Kimi. Mclaren really can't afford any DNF's more, if they want fight for the championship.
