AUTOSPORT gave Vergne 0 in their driver ratings.

Decided it was a good time to bring this feature back
http://www.f1zone.net/news/driver-ratin ... -gp/14675/

Started doing it in 2008, it kind of fizzled out last year. Hoping I've got them fairly spot on. If not, feel free to send me constructive abuse.

Well, the guy I'm disappointed with is Hamilton. Sure, Maldonado tagged him pretty good, but Lewis' tires were absolutely gone, and he had no chance to keep the Williams behind him. Those types of decisions are what win championships. Could have backed off and scored critical points, but now he comes away with nothing, reminiscent of 2010 where he blew the title with silly aggression.

However, the guy that I'm really impressed with is Roman Grosjean. I'm starting to think this guy is going to be one of the top drivers in Formula 1 soon. His start was amazing and he really fought well to get to 2nd. I'm very interested in seeing how Grosjean finishes the year. I expect a win at some point.

You rated Vergne too highly, but apart from that I agree more with that set of ratings than AUTOSPORT's. :)

What a fantastic race, easily the best in Valencia, one of the best races this year. Not just in terms of action, but in terms of the result too- Alonso, Raikkonen, Schumacher an awesome podium.

Makes having to miss it live due to exams even more frustrating. :(

Good article for discussion Phil. I think Vergne is rated too highly and sentiment is pushing Schumachers 8.

Great photo. It doesn't matter if he's racing for another team, but they're happy for him.

Yeah it's a nice photo iceman. Domenicalli was being interviewed by Ted Kravitz but he turned away to clap Michael when he came down the pitlane.

Boohoo. Red Bull seem incapable of letting rulings that go against them go. They had a graphic on the screen at the time that showed Webber went through the yellow flag zone faster than Schumacher and actually closed up on him a bit. Schumacher was the slower car through the yellow flags. It would be stupid to penalise the car that was going slower through the yellow flags.

Oh and Marko thinks the safety car period was simply to hurt Red Bull and erase Vettel's lead.

I almost got a heart attack, I really enjoyed the race a lot. I started watching it with much hope but Alonso made my day. Really agressive and all of that.

And about the race itself, I hope people start giving a bit more credit to the track. Last year it was already OK and this year turned out to be a thrilling so I hope it really get stuck in their memory a good GP there finally.
