Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
Re: Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
Would like to see more than that little clip from the race edit, but looked like he left a car's width which is what the rules state (if you include the kerbs).
Re: Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
To be honest, Heikki was harsh but fair. He plonked the car in the centre coming out of the tunnel; he is entitled to. out of swimming pool he leaves enough room for a very risky overtake which Jenson isn't known to take; but he did and bodged it.
Heikki was playing defensive but fairly so. Jenson needed to do what Alonso did in 2010, rag it alongside and bully them out of the way, not pussyfoot it.

Re: Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
In the live broadcast it looked more like he took the left line coming out of the tunnel and then moved back to cover the right. He made it look like he had chosen to go left but changed his mind to a somewhat awkward "center" in the braking zone, not leaving enough space on the right (unless you count the unusable kerb). I'm willing to bet than more than half the drivers in the field would've binned it if they had been in Jenson's position.

Half the field wouldn't have ben stuck behind him

Re: Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
Perez has confirmed that a small front suspension lever broke just prior to his crash in Qualifying. The suspension broke as a result of the Maldonado incident.
Re: Grand Prix de Monaco 2012
Oh so they confirmed it broke because of the Maldonado incident? Very poor, Sauber were quick and Perez has been unlucky unable to exploit the pace the last two races. Maldonado got off lightly all things considered.

Wouldve thought a thorough check and test would be done on the 'spension though.donald29 wrote:Oh so they confirmed it broke because of the Maldonado incident?
