Re: Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2012
You don't sound like you have real ambition or motivation. Why just president, why not a king, or how does this sound: "The Great Emperor of FIA". With some imagination maybe: "His Excellency, The Savior, Great Defender, Great Man, Who Is a Man of Deeds, Guiding Star of the 21st Century, Beloved and Respected Father, Invincible and Ever-triumphant General, Great Marshal, Great Man, Who Descended From Heaven, Leader of the 21st Century, Great Sun of the 21st Century, The Great Sun of Life, Dear Leader, who is a perfect incarnation of the appearance that a leader should have of FIA". Though I don't have imagination, so it is possible I have borrowed the last one somewherephil1993 wrote:When I become FIA president, it'll be made law that Australia and Brazil bookend the season and Spa is at the end of August

I did wonder if Bahrain would try and become the season opener in 2013. They got it in 2010 because of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne meaning Australia had to be a couple of weeks later, but were set to keep it for 2011. Agree with what you said Phil (there's something fun about pulling an all nighter for FP1 and FP2 to mark the start of the season ) but really wouldn't be surprised if Bernie gives the Bahrainis what they want and makes it the first race of 2013.

I wouldn't miss Bahrain. I think the track layout is decent, but the desert flair doesn't do it for me. Not to mention the political situation.
But then again, I only like a handful of tracks on the calendar. I'm excited about Austin though, hope that it makes for some good racing.

Just as a heads up, the GP2 Feature race from Bahrain is starting in around ten minutes.

Thanks iceman Now, how old is Jackie Steward? If Kimi or Romain would win a race do they have an ambulance parked outside of the garage. Not that Jackie would need it, but Lotus petrol sniffing crew might need it
