I have told you earlier don't write off Mercedes and Schumi!!!
Re: 2011 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia
utter bollocks, did they think he can control a spinning car?iceman1 wrote:Liuzzi handed a 5 place grid penalty for the Singapore GP

Or did they penalize him for spinning in the first place?
Won't affect him much, he will quali 22nd at best
Re: 2011 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia
Yeah, I guess he'll be starting from Kuala Lumpur.
In all honesty, looking at it again, there's absolutely no way it was anyone else's fault. Liuzzi went for a gap that was always going to disappear, he didn't have enough speed to clear Kovalainen before running out of road. You can also clearly see the Lotus moving to the left at the end, trying to leave Liuzzi some room. He would've been fine had he lifted earlier. By the way I find it strange of someone so used to starting from the back of the field not to be able to anticipate the first corner concertina. Did he perhaps feel under pressure after Ricciardo had outqualified him?
That move by Vettel, wow. I was jumping and gesticulating like an idiot. That may well remain as the best moment of the year as far as I'm concerned.

You watched F1 on TF1? Commentary was maybe 0,5 sec ahead of the footage, so when Malbranque begun to roar about Vettel's move, I react exactly like you!François wrote: That move by Vettel, wow. Has it been last year, maybe Vettel would have spun into Alonso, but this year, he gains more maturity, he kept cool and give us this incredible move, a la Alonso! In two consecutive races, Alonso was the target of the two greatest move of the year so far, showing that it's only with great champion ( like Alonso, Webber and Vettel ) that we've got great moves!
Re: 2011 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia
Great start by Alonso and would have been nice if had a better car to fight off Jenson.
Also, glad to see Jenson finishing ahead of Hamilton, again...
Vettel has the WDC in the bag and we have to start looking to next year.

Re: 2011 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia
Just to be logical ... Vettel didn't needed that. Just from logical point it was unnecessary to take so much risk when it would have been easier for him after few laps or so..François wrote:That move by Vettel, wow. Rubens Barrichello: Winner of multiple races, world title runner up and the most experienced man ever. Yet he still thought he could drive at crawling pace over a kerb. Woops.
There was also a collision between Buemi, Trulli and Massa
