Ron did nothing for mclaren for what, 10 years?

Whitmarsh isn't doing a bad job. All you do is blame everyone else. Whats whitmarsh done wrong now?

I'm not a mclaren supporter but I miss Ron.
Why though. What did he bring to mclaren whitmarsh hasnt?

That would be a very long answer.
Ill answer for you;

From 2002-2004, they won 4 races under ron. Right now, in 2011 alone they won the same. 06 was winless, 05 they did well bu ultimatly rons decision not to change kimi's tyre along with a few other things cost mclaren the WDC. He messed montoya about.

2007, are you telling me a complete control freak who knows the ins and out of his team, didnt know about the spy scandal? I mean, a test driver and a new driver magically has the pull to tell very experienced engineers and designers to try new tyres gasses and the like? I mean, can you imagine Pedro and fernando sat on a deckchair with the F2007 specs trying to build it in silver? Dont be daft. Ron was as guilty as everyone else. he just didnt like being being blackmailed so 'came clean' before he was sold out.

The first championship in the 2000's came from whitmarshes management didnt it? 2008? In mclarens worst form in years (2009) they still won 2 races under Martin. Didnt win a thing in 2006.

Ron isn't the be-all and end-all of Mclaren. He did great things, but did alot of bad things and choices.

Anyway back onto the race result, not what I expected. Alonso spun once or twice and left the race track more times than he pitted but still ended up 3rd. Not bad consolidation. vettel just cruising now, can hardly blame him like.

Looks like the last year I watch F1 is already a sealed and done championship. THAT, is rather depressing.

I cannot, stand the man. I supported renault for many years, but when renault pulled out in 2009 and he took over along with genii, i sincerely hope that Lotus/renault/lada/proton/tata absolutly bomb in formula 1.

If ron dennis was mclaren, then Pat and Flavio was renault. When renault had a bad time, they were easily 3rd in the drivers or 4th in the constructors.

Next, he'll blame heidfeld for it raining.

Wow. So I guess you don't like Eric?

Don't wish for the death of Lotus/renault/lada/proton/tata yet. We need to keep it around for Robert next year.

No, the man slagged off flavio and pat, which correct me if im wrong, was the best thing for renault in the modern era!

And why would robert want to come back to lotus/renault/lada/proton/tata when they have failed massively in the development race and have gone so far backwards its unreal?

On a pessimistic note, i seriously doubt Robert would be back in an f1 competatively. I want him back, I like him, but the recent pictures are just so shocking to see and I dont want robert back if he isnt able to perform to the great extent he was performing in 2010. I think his f1 career is over. Hope im wrong, I really do.... but that skoda impact isn't something you walk away from fine and dandy.

I really hope Robert can come back. And while Renaut is not performing it is still his only way back into F1 as none of the other top teams will change their drivers next year, barring an injury.

Ideal is a fully fit Kubica at Ferrari. At the moment, I feel there's a top 5 + Massa. Class showed through today - Button wide at T2 and continues, Alonso wide at T2 and continues, Vettel wide at T2 and continues, Massa wide at T2, gets it wrong and crashes.

I think many teams would drop a driver for someone of Kubica's calibre. Ferrari for instance, would drop massa. Im pretty sure redbull would drop webber. Mclaren is the only team which is guaranteed its two drivers as Jense and Lewis are settled.

Im willing to make a bet I made at the beginning of the year, that Alonso wins at Monza again. im still hedging that bet.
