Kimi is ridiculously overpaid at Ferrari. He lost the raw speed he needs for qualifying. Even though his race performances are still good (Canada & this GP aside), he's no longer a driver capable of winning a championship.

For many years now F1 has been dominated by one team or another. Kimi has had no chance of winning anything but his big salary for quite a while. Given the nature of F1 top drivers, would you be going all out, knowing the best you could do is 3rd? Or maybe 7th? If Kimi doesn't finish he gets paid the same. As long as Ferrari or anyone else wants to pay him millions then he'll take it. Pride doesn't enter into it. I think Kimi will leave before the season is over.
