Button confirms he'll start last and serve a 10-second stop/go penalty within the first three laps of the race

Another disappointing performance by Kimi even if his team made a mistake. It's time to look for another driver.
Re: 2015 FORMULA 1 GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Kimi: "Something obviously happened. I don't know. Obviously it's a bad day."

Mercedes drivers failing at this track again. Front row down to obvious advantage in car performance, but not exactly earned through spectacular driving.
Hopefully rain's on the menu tomorrow.

50% chance of rain tomorrow afternoon in Spielberg, could make for an interesting race...
Re: 2015 FORMULA 1 GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Alonso "I saw the top three in the press conference and they were very sad," he smiled. "They were angry. One because he spun in turn one, one because he spun in the last corner and the other because he's third whatever the conditions.

This should be an exciting race. It's a challenging track, wet or dry. Too bad the FIA and Bernie have turned it into a tournament of penalties. The result pretty much a foregone conclusion: Mercedes 1 and 2 and Vettel, if his car survives.
Boring, boring, boring.
Boring, boring, boring.

An alright one by this season's standards. Hamilton never seemed to have an answer for Rosberg's pace after losing the lead, which doesn't happen so often anymore.
Räikkönen's accident was super weird. I was surprised to hear he didn't get a tap from behind and lost it on his own - he's one of the last drivers I'd expect to bin it in a straight line because of wheelspin. Looks like his car's been responding in unpredictable ways. On a different note, how Maldonado did NOT bin it on the straight when attacking Verstappen, I will never know.
Nice to see a bit of a Force India renaissance, but they're only going to trouble Lotus and RBR. Doesn't look likely that the top 3 will see any dramatic hierarchy upsets before the end of the season.

What's wrong with Kimi? he's not doing himself any favors now, while Williams are maximizing their conductor points.
Re: 2015 FORMULA 1 GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Mercedes is running away with the Constructors' Championship and it's highly unlikely that Ferrari 'll close the gap. Rosberg has to keep up his pace for the rest of the season, otherwise F1 is in trouble.
Re: 2015 FORMULA 1 GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Kimi is ridiculously overpaid at Ferrari. He lost the raw speed he needs for qualifying. Even though his race performances are still good (Canada & this GP aside), he's no longer a driver capable of winning a championship.iceman1 wrote:What's wrong with Kimi? he's not doing himself any favors now, while Williams are maximizing their conductor points.
