I agree with you 100% Wolfie

, it appears that with one or two exceptions interviewers really enjoy kicking the hell out of Kimi. He is not a driver to make excuses, that is one of the things I admire about him he is the first one to admit if he makes a mistake he always tells it how it is. I am sure part of it is because they know he doesnt like answering the same old questions and they havent the brains to think up new ones

 .

The rally reporters are pure gold - with the exception of a few of course - but the way it went on in forums when he was in F1 and dared to complain about the tyres for example... do you remember the hate-wave over Kimi making excuses for him being crappy?
When others complained about the same thing it was suddenly 'wow, I didn't know that'

Every single time he actually tells about something being wrong he makes up excuses. Like in Marca-rally in Italy last year when his gearbox fell apart - it was useless to point out that to people. He crashed because he is so crappy. Period.
Now it was immediately clear that Mikko Hirvonen did not make any mistake, he was so unfortunate in the Finnish media yesterday - but they did make sure of mentioning especially Kimi going wide - it's still a lose-lose situation. Other drivers are unfortunate but Kimi makes mistakes.
Sorry once again, I was boiling when first reading the finnish media and then listening to the rally radio and how it's okay for others to imply that it should be remembered that this is a new place for them.
Argh

To be changed soon - rko281, where are you??? LOL

Look what all the fighting for Kimi has done to me - I pay attention to things like these and compare them to Kimi's words

I was just so so so so fed up with the bashing - 'Kimi making excuses again' etc. - when it isn't even true

Sorry for the rant.

Kimi doesn't make excuses for himself, like in the interview he just did, he said that it was because of his own mistakes in the morning that he lost the place, and that is it. Kimi doesn't need to make excuses for himself any reasonable person will understand that he is a pure rookie and mistakes are sure to follow.

what kind of excuses

Isn't he the one who always telling that he made a small or big or stupid mistake,
that he has to learn because everything is new for him? I dodn't get it

Being a rookie his doing better than enyone expected even himself.
He was consistant in this rally without big mistakes (OK small ones) he even talked to the media more than ever before.

Kriss, that's just what I meant. He tells first that it was his mistake, then afterwards experts tell how the car broke down - like in Mexico for example. But Kimi takes the blame for it first. And he makes mistakes!!!!!
But when it's clear that it's not his fault and he talks about it the same bla bla bla started on forums and unfortunately still goes on.
I'm telling you that if an Alonso-fan has the guts to come and tell me that Kimi is a whining cry-baby blaming others, then....

But the point was that I've become highly over-sensitive over everything Kimi says, sort of thinking ahead what the bashers can make out of it - he is in a league of his own, not only when it comes to talent

SS19 SSS Circus Maximus Trier (4.37km) starts in 11minutes
The rally closes with the Circus Maximus Super Special which snakes around the Roman architecture in the heart of host city Trier. It’s more like a street race than a traditional Super Special. There’s no figure-of-eight circuit, no jump or flyover, instead it’s like a race. Four cars line up at the start and set off at 15 sec intervals; one on the full minute, the others at 15, 30 and 45 seconds. Drivers complete four laps of the circuit and then exit the track. The stage is right in the middle of Trier which means there are obstacles like kerb stones and bus stops to watch out for.

excellent run by Kimi overall. would have been great to catch wilson, but getting um on some stages was cool. I suppose the super special won't change anything, so... congrats to Kimi for bringing her home in the points!

Every mile I have with the Citroen C4 WRC is giving a certain pleasure - Kimi Raikkonen
My ideal is to win the race at the slowest speed possible - Alain Prost
You should just stick with those people who are really there for you - Sebastian Vettel

Wolfie I really do understand how you feel and you are right. Its always been this way for Kimi the press will always give him a hard time. This always happens and its so annoying when so many others like his fans can see whats really happening. I think Kimi is really clever to put himself above this situation when so many of us would probably give the offending people a bloody nose. Kimi has one critic who he listens to and this critic is the hardest critic of all........its himself. He refuses to let anyone else upset him.

During Jyväskylä rally I happened to read a local newspapers blog keeper opinion about rally and Kimi. He was firmly in his own opinion that Kimi isnt anymore the sport hero he had been at the beginning of the season and that those F1 drivers behaviour model should be left out..come on! He was on 15 century with his opinions. And at the very same newspapers sport pages showed a picture of Kimi surrounded by a bunch of reporters and saying "Kimi is still one of the most popular drivers amongst rally drivers"....
Sorry, had to sleep, so I have missed a lot, but luckily have you and the pages you put up...

Well, 6th would be better then 7th but it's a good fight today, so no matter what, it was positive rally for Kimi

Well I did say perhaps if Jari-Mari's hair were a bit longer, Flodin is cute in a boyish way, as far as I can remember Mads Ostberg is also okay looking? And yes I have totally forgotten about about Dani he isn't to bad actually, now that you mention it. Although if we are just purely talking about looks alone for Spanish drivers then I have to give it to Alonso. If personality is part of the equation then it is Dani by far! Maybe I am just being to hard and picky with the WRC boys. They all have very nice personalities actually , but for me it is only Kimi who is really, really good looking. But then again perhaps I am being a bit unfair, there is properly not even many men on the planet that can compete with Kimi!

Thanks for the pics!
