Re: Rate the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix
1-Best Driver - Kimi Raikkonen
2-Best Team - Toro Rosso
3-Best Overtake - Raikkonen on Massa or Raikkonen on Hamilton
4-Best Moment - Raikkonen spinning :P
5-Worst Driver & Worst Team - Nakajima and Honda
6-Best Rookie - Bourdais
7-Biggest Surprise - Rain on the last 2 laps
8- I think Hamilton should receive a punishment for the illegitimate overtake on Raikkonen. He clearly got an advantage when he jump on the track. He didnt even let Raikkonen overtake him completely to start and make a move. I dont know what punish he deservers, maybe a 25 seconds penalty or 10 place penalty for Monza.
2-Best Team - Toro Rosso

Re: Rate the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix
I'll start:
1-Best Driver
Massa.
No-one really shone. Hamilton was great in the wet as he usually is, but was nothing special, so-so in fact at the start and in the dry. Heidfeld was mega on inters, Alonso was solid as hell all the way through.
My vote goes to Massa however. Second engine, solid in the wet, a consitent drive.
2-Best Team
McLaren for being as fast as Ferrari in the colder conditions
3-Best Overtake
I didn't like Hamilton on Raikkonen..
It was kinda forceful. Like Grosjean yesterday.
I think Kubica on Trulli was better than Raikkonen on Hamilton and Alonso on Bourdais
4-Best Moment
Hamilton's mistake, Hamilton being overtaken on the outside, Alonso overtaking Bourdais, the start. Pick one of those.
5-Worst Driver & Worst Team
Kovalainen for being rubbish in the first few laps, and for spinning off in the last laps, and for taking out Webber so awfully. Or perhaps Piquet.
6-Best Rookie
I hate to admit it. Bourdais
7-Biggest Surprise
Alonso's pace.
8-General Comment
Ok, let's try this chronologically.
The start of the race was funny. Bourdais caused chaos by nerfing Trulli, while Kovy stupidly tangled with Heidfeld. Alonso used his racecraft to be in the right place at the right time. The first few damp laps were fun, with lots of out of position people trying to pass others. Alonso and Raikkonen put identical stellar moves on Hamilton and Bourdais, although Alonso's was better, because he was side by side with Bourdais, not half ahead.
The middle was boring. Period. :tired:
The last bit was annoying. Those Ferraris clearly go mental in the rain. Raikkonen snapped on the straight outside Fagnes. How crazy is that?!? Alonso made his decision to change one lap too late. If he had done it earlier, who knows? He might have won, he'd have at least finished a competative third. He overtook two people in the last two corners, fgs!!
Anyway, I find it funny that Hamilton was passed around the outside just a few weeks after he said he never would be again. I find it ridiculous that it rained for him. What a lucky boy. :s
Pending the investigation into Hamilton-Raikkonen, I think Hamilton only was able to overtake Kimi into T1 because he gained advantage over the run-off at Bus Stop. I think Raikkonen locked up and ran into Hamilton, not deliberate, but was a bit forceful into T1. No penalty would probably be fair, and Raikkonen's retirement helps Massa, strangely enough..
EDIT: Well, whaddaya know? Still annoying though. It's likely to rain in Japan, and China, and Singapore. Asia=Hamilton-land. And Massa is the last man you want in a pressure-cooker situation.
However it still looks pretty grim.
EDIT: I forgot to rave about Alonso! He was mega, he was consistent, he pwned his team-mate and was unlucky to lose third, a deserved third. But he was one lap too late onto inters. This moves him very close to Trulli, and official best of the rest of the rest status.
Rating 8/10: I judge purely on action, not result.
If it was by result, 4/10. But ignore that, 8/10.
Canada 9/10
Monaco 9/10
Britain 8/10
Australia 8/10
Belgium 8/10 - here it goes. It was worse than Oz, not by much.
Germany 6/10
Hungary 6/10
Bahrain 5/10
France 5/10
Turkey 5/10
Malaysia 4/10
Europe 4/10
Spain 3/10

Re: Rate the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix
1-Best Driver
Massa, he was doing good specially as it was his second race in the same engine and there was a threat of engine blowup. 2nd was a bonus gor him. Another thing to mention, I think he had a lower front wing in order to overtake hamilton in the kemmel straight, but things were not as he expected. And because of the low front wing he lost tiem in the seocnd sector.I didnt mention heidfield becasue he might get pennalised for overtaking under yellow flag
2-Best Team
Ferrari were looking good for two podiums but kimi blow it away. Has to be Toro Rosso.
3-Best Overtake
I was following the top three so didnt focus on the others but all the overtaking was the same, nothing so spectacular, most of them in kemmel straight and some in bus stop. Heikki on kubica, kimi on massa, kimi on lewis were good
4-Best Moment
Kimi overtaking lewis, lewis losing in on turn 1, he should have lost more positions.
5-Worst Driver & Worst Team
Trulli, I dont know why but he was not doing good.
Redbull, they swapped places with the toro rosso
6-Best Rookie
bourdais,doing great in pressure.
7-Biggest Surprise
Kimi' pace and start, I wasent expecting that
8-General Comment[/quote]
It was a good race and hamilton as well was really lucky.

4-Best Moment-STR's ahead of BMW
5-Worst Driver & Worst Team-Piquet & Honda

7-Biggest Surprise-Rain in the last 2 laps.Kimi Losing the race.
8-General Comment-All I can say is that something really going wrong in ferrari camp. The McLaren are so strong in any conditions & on the prime tires Lewis still holding off his car unlike Kimi with Ferrari. Kimi's championship hopes are over it seems. As per the new report hamilton is 3rd in the race & massa awarded the win.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/70401
Points Table before Belgium GP:
Hamilton: 70
Massa: 64
Kimi:57
Kubica:55
Considering the new reesult the table goes like this:
Hamilton: 76
Massa: 74
Kubica: 58
Kimi: 57
Kimi is trailing by 19 Points with 5 Races to go. The question is can Kimi fight back or will Ferrari support Massa ? Kimi has already got all the bad luck this year starting from Monaco. Can Lewis or Massa have any now.
