yea, McLaren + Finns = years of bad luck then success!!! Kovy needs some good points soon- possibly 2nd in Monaco behind Hamilton- a crucial race for Macca

Kovy made a dirty trick starting the race. His task was simply to hold Kimi when Lewis shoud pass. Poor Kovy, another Barichello.

Sadly i missed the few starting laps :( ..will watch vids 2morow :)

lol ..mclaren blaming Bridgestone :nosweat:

I m bit surprise by Mclarens pace or was it Ferrari expected to be bit faster!
But its difficult to judge they were on different strategy and kimi looked more comfortable in last stint with hard tires.

Lewis Hamilton pass on massa was very good but Heikki Kovalainen was the man of the race with 8(-?+) overtakings

Espn star commentators continue to claim kimi's engine had second race and massa with new fresh engine :<>: *BEEP*

Yes that's true. Both Ferrari were at the edge. It's %100 reliability attest for Ferrari from Aus as you look at below:

Code: Select all

Driver Engine Gearbox
Kimi Raikkonen E2 G4
Felipe Massa E2 G4
These are facts of Turkey GP.

BMW team must be proud of what they`re doing this season, after 5 races Kubica is only 11 points behind the championship leader, 2nd place in constructors, i`m sure nobody in the team would bet on that in winter testing.

Pedro de la Rosa made a few interesting comments on spanish tv during the race:

Hamilton problem with the soft tyre in qualifiying was that he overheated it a lot mainly on curve 8, so by the end of the lap he could lose some time in the last slow corners. That´s why he had to go for the hard compound.

He also said that the difference between 2 or 3 stops was suppoused to be around 3 or 4 seconds according to simulations. 2 stops was better but ham had to go to 3 stops as there were some concerns from the bridgestone guys.

So, if we take those 4 seconds off hamilton´s time he was matching massa.
4ever McLaren...

Well yeah, It was Heikki's own fault, He ruined his own race. But then Its great how he crept from the back without makin any errors. I also think He could win if only..ah because I guessed He was able to make only 2pit. But then..pheeww..

Im so thankful It didn cost Kimi an earlier pit.

hamilton pace on race was fast because 3 stop strategy but never had a chance to win the race, ferrari pace its better, if kimi doesnt loose some seconds at the start with heiki would be 1,2 for ferrari... but this kind of things happen every race can be perfect.
