It seems that McLaren and BMW might have chances only in slow tracks like Monaco. This year there are more street races - Singapure and Valenca.
Good job for Kimi and Massa. Horrible crash for Heikki

lol. those 39 laps were the ones in malaysia until he retired- he retired on lap 1 (obviously not completing the full lap in Oz, Bahrain and now spain. maybe he should just not turn up in istanbul!!!

by the way, is it just me who's looking forward to monaco- all mistakes punished- watch practices and how many mistakes there are without TC on circuits such as Bahrsain- could be many red flag periods in practice. smooth drivers will be rewarded.

I'm looking forward as well to Monaco - will be good to see the drivers having to be really careful and I think the lack of TC might just increase the attrition race quite a bit.I'm also hoping for rain as this will just create complete chaos as well....

Why are you saying that because the gab between the top 4 was only 5 seconds and I think Hamilton was pushing and was chasing the ferrari's quite well.

yeah, really burti, Dutch commetator said, that that accident was worse, because the helmets at that time were not made of carbon. Burti's helmet was pretty damaged he said.

PS. Did Fernan threw his helmet in the crowd? That's cool

And there was no HANS at that time, and you're right, Burti's crash was worse, the accident happened over 300 kph ( I don't know how fast the car was during impact....)...

By the way, the marshall broke the rear wing helping Kovi  ?

And yes I think Alonso threw his helmet in the crowd. At least he threw his gloves :cheezy:

you want the crash helmet to be damaged that means its done its job
just like if you see a crash and the car appears to explode with bits flying off everywhere that means the car has dissipated the energy

Hi there im new to this website, very nice setup you have here. So hello to you all.

Was nice race today, poor vettel hehe. The crash with kovi was shocking, im amazed that he didnt even break a bone as the nose end of cockpit was clearly opened up like a can of beans :D similar to kubica where his feet where hanging out at bottom.

Some design fault of the mclaren you think as its very similar to hamiltons in europe last year, they said it was a loose wheel nut there but im suspicous now.

Crash is very similar to hakkinens almost fatal crash aswell, the hans device really is a great thing :D

Anyways, nice to have found your page and will add to my favourites.

I just read something on how F1 helmets are much safer than they were before. In fact, they have trimmed down the weight of the helmet by half so there would be less force when in an accident that happens to hit the head of the driver. Design is still the same but with changes on material.

Thankfully, Heikki's accident was not bad.
