Raikkonen drove his fastest laptime with 11 laps before his pitstop.
That means he drove his fastest lap with a heavier car then hamilton, kovalainen and heidfeld.

It`s better to have problems in the first race then in the last race.

what really happened to kovolainen on the second to last lap at the start/finish line? i didn't see the race, but ive seen clips of where kov. passes alonso, and then alonso passes him right back w/ relative ease on the straight. what happened?

Kovaleinen went to tear off a pull off strip from his visor and his fist hit the pit lane speed limiter, causing the engine to slow down to the 50mph it would be running at when in the pits. He managed to cancel it, but had lost too much speed to stop Alonso getting past.

no one has answered who they think was at fault. Coulthard or Massa?

it was a long heated debate between a friend and i when we were there so id lik to see other peoples interpretation.

My and my missus had a heated debate about this, i think it was massa's fault simply because coultard was infront thats is why the rear of his car ended up in the air as he went over mass'a front left wheel

im not looking for an arguement, but i just thought id point out that the initial contact of massa's front tyre was almost past the sidepod of coulthards car, it just slid back and caught the rear tyre afterwards.

thats the reason why i dont blame massa for the incodent.

Well, if I'm not wrong, is Hamilton making similar mistake (engaging Pit Lane Speed Limiter) for the 2007 Brazilian GP? If so, probably McLaren needs to re-look into button layouts on the wheel...

why the lap times before pit were in 2 mins. They are supposed to do flying laps before pits. Is this problem with tyres?

As Pedro de la Rosa said to spanish TV, Alonso fastest lap is always last lap (sorry Kovalainen, Alonso race had 58 lap, for you only 57).

Zack, have you speeds table?. I only find top 5 speed. Kovalainen, Massa, Raikonnen, Nakayima, Coulthard, Rosberg.

look how flat Hammi's laptimes are, at the beginning of the race, on the live timing of the F1-site, you saw that he drove the fastest time in the first sector lap after lap: 29.1-29.0-28.9, but when Kimi went past Rubens (not sure), he was doing 28.8 on the first lap past him, but laps after that he was doing 29.2-29.1, how's that possible ? When you have a lighter car, and no-one in front of you?

But that time is still half a second down, and why can't he go faster with a car that's getting lighter and lighter, lap after lap

On those laps there was a yellowflag situation so the safetycar was on the track.

^^^its very simple tire degradation(soft) & both the engine were dieing slowly.

I think everything is in place @ Ferrari except reliability which very very important and of course both riders have to be consistent & perform better.
