Williams has confirmed that they are seeking  a new title sponsor after their 5 year deal with telecommunications giant AT&T came to an end.

AT&T, one of the largest telecommunications company in the world, began sponsoring the team in 2007 and a team member confirmed that the contract would not be renewed.

Williams endured their worst season in 2011, finishing 9th in the championship with just five points.

It is thought that AT&T were unhappy with PDVSA's involvement in the team, highlighting the uneasy relationship the USA maintains with Venezuela.

Another possible reason for the split could be to make way for Embratel, who are heavily involved with Bruno Senna's career. The Brazilian, 28, is out of contract after racing for Renault in the last half of 2011.

Other candidates for the job are Rubens Barrichello and Adrian Sutil, with Jules Bianchi and Valtteri Bottas outside contenders.
