Mark Webber will have a new race engineer this season.

Media reports said the Australian's long-time regular engineer, Ciaron Pilbeam, is switching to Lotus.

Red Bull is replacing him with Lotus' Simon Rennie, who was Kimi Raikkonen's race engineer in 2012. Rennie has also worked at the Enstone based team since its Renault days, including with Fernando Alonso.

Red Bull confirmed the news.

It is believed Pilbeam is to become Lotus' new chief race engineer.
