Sebastian Vettel claimed his third victory of the season in the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Red Bull driver dominated the 53 lap event to close to within four points of Fernando Alonso.

The Ferrari driver made contact with Kimi Raikkonen at the first corner and was forced to retire.

Felipe Massa claimed his first podium of the season by finishing second, but the plaudits went to home hero Kamui Kobayashi, who sent the Japanese fans into delirium by finishing in third place.
