Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time during final practice for the United States Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg was seventh, ahead of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.

Bottas's pace was not just restricted to the medium tyre as he set the third fastest time during the hard tyre runs early on in the session.

Adrian Sutil rounded out the top 10 for Force India.

Ferrari's struggles continued as Fernando Alonso managed only 11th, with Felipe Massa down in 17th.

Esteban Gutierrez was 12th fastest for Sauber, with Lotus's Heikki Kovalainen setting the 13th quickest time.

Qualifying takes place at 12:00 local time (18:oo GMT)
