Jean-Eric Vergne has tested for Toro Rosso

Jean Eric Vergne will test the Red Bull RB7 in the young driver test that follows the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

One of Red Bull's protege's, he was 2nd in this year's Formula Renault 3.5 series, behind Robert Wickens but ahead of fellow Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo.

Vergne tested for Toro Rosso in Korea, a role he will resume in practice in the final two races.

Vergne will test the car for three days.

"I'm really looking forward to driving the RB7 in Abu Dhabi. I know the track already and have had some track time in a Formula 1 car this year, which will help." Said the Frenchman.

"I'm extremely happy that Red Bull Racing has given me this opportunity, it will be a massive experience for me and to be driving the best Formula One car is something quite amazing.

"I will make the best out of the three days, it will be an important three days and I'm looking forward to it."
