Giedo van der Garde will return to the Sauber C33 cockpit at this weekend's British Grand Prix.
Van der Garde, who participated in practice sessions in Bahrain, China and Spain, will replace Adrian Sutil in the first 90 minutes of running on Friday.
Sauber has also confirmed that Sutil will drive on the first day of next week's test at Silverstone before handing over to Van der Garde for the second day.
"It has been a while since I was in the car," he said. "The last time was at the test in Barcelona almost two months ago. I have to get back into the game, and I am looking forward to jumping into the car again."
The Dutch driver will be one of three testers set to participate in practice on Friday; Daniel Juncadella and Susie Wolff will make their Formula 1 weekend debuts for Force India and Williams respectively.
