'Patient' Vergne learning from Red Bull decision

Jean-Eric Vergne says that the 'big disappointment' at missing out on a Red Bull seat has led him to become a better driver. Mark Webber's retirement from Formula 1 opened up a seat with the world champions, but Red Bull opted to promote Vergne's Toro Rosso team-mate, Daniel Ricciardo. Double points introduced for season finale; driver numbers confirmed

The FIA has announced that double points will be awarded during the final race of the season, effective from the start of 2014. The resulting changes means that 50 points will be allocated to the winner of the final round of 2014, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, rather than the usual 25.
