Some have suggested the rumour is a ploy by Ferrari to destabilise the German's current team Red Bull, as the reigning champions look set to dominate the final part of the 2012 season. Vettel, who has won the last three grands prix on the trot and is now 6 points ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, told Auto Bild: "I am […]

Wolff remains coy on 2013 line-up

When asked about those stories, Lotus' technical boss James Allison said: "He doesn't give us any reason to think that he is going elsewhere. Nico Hulkenberg has declared himself happy with his return to Formula One but insists that there is still progress to be made. Hulkenberg, who celebrated his 25th birthday this week, missed the 2011 season. "I am quite happy with how the season has gone so far. Piquet jr slams driver lineup at Lotus

Nelson Piquet Jr has slammed the driver lineup of his former Formula One team. Scoring just 19 points in his 28 races for the works Renault team in 2008 and 2009, the now 27-year-old Brazilian turned to Nascar racing after leaving F1 amid the 'crashgate' scandal. Enstone based Renault is now Genii-owned Lotus, and while Piquet says the black and gold E20 is a "very good car", he evidently has no admiration for the men at the wheel. His main target is Romain Grosjean, the […]

Petrov not 'nervous' about 2013 Caterham seat

Vitaly Petrov says it is too soon to determine what he will be doing in 2013. The Russian made his debut for Renault (now Lotus) in 2010, moving across to the back-of-the-grid Caterham team at the beginning of this season. And his manager Oksana Kosachenko said recently she is in talks with three teams about 2013. "Before autumn we have to be ready to take some decisions. I don't want to be in the situation which we faced last year," she said. Kosachenko said the […]
