The first session was about getting familiar with the track and waiting for the tarmac to improve for a better grip level. In the beginning of the second session I did a 20-lap long run on hard tyres before we then had a break due to […]

Sauber positive ahead of Abu Dhabi

Sauber drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez are positive as the Swiss team heads to Abu Dhabi. Kobayashi's first F1 points came at the circuit in 2009. "I find the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi very exciting because it’s a twilight race, and the only one of the season. It’s very special to start in daylight and then race in the dark. This creates a really unique atmosphere, which I like", he said. "For me Abu Dhabi is a special race anyway because it was […]

Hamilton:

Despite the wet weather in Spa Francorchamps, Lewis Hamilton was in an upbeat mood following Friday practice. “It’s been incredibly wet today – there were lots of rivers running across the track and lots of aquaplaning, so you had to be very wary out there. There’s no real benefit to be gained from pushing the car, but there are always things we can learn, so we did a couple of installation laps to check the effects of the upgrades we’ve brought to this race and […]
