Wolff sure she'd qualify for super licence

Williams test driver Susie Wolff says she has no worries about earning a super licence when the regulations are tightened for 2016. The FIA will introduce a points system for junior championships next season, meaning drivers will have to achieve certain placings in single seater categories if they are to join the Formula 1 grid. But Wolff, who participated in the first practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix, is sure that her experience with Williams will leave her with no problems. "I would hope […]

Wolff 'not a marketing' ploy

Williams development driver Susie Wolff has said that she is not at the team to be part of a marketing scheme, after becoming the first female driver to take part in an official session in 22 years. Wolff's debut run at Silverstone was truncated by a mechanical failure but her second outing at Hockenheim was more fruitful as she set a time just two-tenths of a second slower than Williams team-mate Felipe Massa. "So many people said that this is just a marketing scheme," she […]

Wolff pleased with practice performance

Williams development driver Susie Wolff says she is pleased with her performance after participating in Friday's opening practice session for the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Wolff ended the session 15th quickest of the 22 drivers but, like during her practice outing at Silverstone, her day was not without dramas. Her Williams FW36 developed a technical issue during her first lap of the session, forcing Wolff to return to the pits at crawling pace. "That was a tough moment because it was immediately clear when […]
