Post-Spanish GP test line-up

Formula 1 returns this week for a two day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. As ever the 11 teams will field just a single car across the test. Pirelli reveals further tyre nominations

Formula 1's tyre supplier Pirelli has announced its compound nominations for the start of the 'European' part of the season. The Medium and Hard tyre will be used at the Spanish Grand Prix next month. This is due to the characteristics of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya putting high-energy loads through the tyres, while high ambient temperatures and the roughness of the tarmac means that the tyres on the left-hand side are particularly stressed. Pirelli reveals 2014 tyre test schedule

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed its schedule of which days teams will devote solely to tyre testing. Each team must dedicate one of their test days to tyre work with the company. In-season testing returns in 2014, with Bahrain, Spain and Britain hosting two-day tests following their respective Formula 1 race. Ferrari to unveil 2014 car on January 25th

Ferrari will reveal their 2014 car on Saturday 25th January, just three days prior to the start of testing in Spain. The car, which will be driven by Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen, will be revealed online. Formula 1 fans have the opportunity to decide what Ferrari's 2014 challenger is called. Kvyat says Toro Rosso to test at Jerez

Toro Rosso will be among the teams at the Jerez test later this month. Lotus boss Eric Boullier insisted on Thursday that the Enstone based team will not be the only F1 outfit missing in action when the all-new cars and turbo V6s burst into action in southern Spain late in January. Mercedes to roll out 2014 challenger at Jerez

Mercedes has revealed that their 2014 challenger will be unveiled at the first test of the 2014 season in Spain. The team used their official Twitter account to confirm that the 2014 car will be revealed on the morning of January 28th at Jerez. Lotus to miss first Formula 1 test of 2014 in Jerez

Lotus technical director Nick Chester has revealed that the team's 2014 challenger will not be in action at the first test of the year at Jerez. Chester, who was promoted last year after the departure of James Allison to Ferrari, has overseen the development of Lotus's E22 for the past two years.
