2017 Russian Grand PrixView

After a few days of in-season testing at Bahrain last week, Formula One moves to Sochi for the fourth round of the 2017 season, the Russian Grand Prix. The event will be held at Sochi Autodrom, a technical circuit characterised by hard braking into low-speed corners. "Obviously I’m very much looking forward to it! I’ve learn […]

Track workers cleared the spillage but the circuit in that area was left soaked, leaving drivers to use Intermediate tyres, as Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel described the situation as a ‘mess’, with the remainder of the circuit bone dry. Fernando Alonso […]

Sochi organisers pleased with date change

Organisers of the Russian Grand Prix say that the change in the scheduling of the race from next year will boost the event. Formula 1 raced at the Sochi Autodrom for the first time last October and 2015's event will take place on the corresponding weekend later this year. From next year, Russia's race will take place on May 1, and organisers say that hosting the sport in the Spring should aid the event. "We welcome the decision of the World Motor Sport Council, and […]
