Pirelli to only change rear tyres for Canada

The 'T-word' was still the big topic of conversation as the F1 world congregated in Monaco on Wednesday. But the big paddock whisper is that changes to Pirelli's 2013 tyres will be only minor in Montreal next month and beyond. According to the strong and widespread rumour, the only minor change will be to the rear tyres -- which is good news for Ferrari and Lotus, and not-so-good for Mercedes and Red Bull. "Anything else would be unfair," Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen is quoted by Auto […]

Brawn's team order call 'right' says Wolff

Toto Wolff, the new Mercedes co-owner and director, has played down reports of a growing rift between the team's German and British factions. After German Nico Rosberg was ordered by Ross Brawn to stay behind Briton Lewis Hamilton in Malaysia, Austrians Wolff and Niki Lauda admitted their disapproval. But RTL now quotes Wolff as saying: "The decision was unpopular, but right." The incident is being compared to the situation at Red Bull, where team bosses tried - but ultimately failed - to impose a 'hold […]

McLaren offered more money for 2013 reveals Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton claims McLaren offered him more money than Mercedes for 2013. Interestingly, however, Hamilton has told the German newsmagazine Focus that "McLaren's offer (for 2013) was a bit more lucrative" than Mercedes'. Schumacher might not return to retirement

Michael Schumacher may not be returning to retirement. Much like in 2006, when Ferrari replaced him with Kimi Raikkonen, the seven time world champion has now been elbowed out at Mercedes to make room for Lewis Hamilton. Some expect the 43-year-old to now return to retirement, or take up a job offer on Mercedes' management side. But Schumacher has also been linked with Sauber, whose Sergio Perez will move to McLaren next year to replace Hamilton. Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm was spotted in conversation with […]
