Frijns parts company with Caterham

Robin Frijns has parted company with Caterham after his contract with the outfit expired on Monday. Frijns, the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, joined Caterham at the start of the year after spending 2013 in a reserve role with Sauber. Frijns gets Caterham practice outing

Reserve driver Robin Frijns will return to the cockpit of the Caterham CT05 at this weekend's British Grand Prix. Frijns, who joined the team at the start of the year, will replace Kamui Kobayashi in the first session on Friday. Frijns pleased with practice outing

Robin Frijns expressed his delight after completing his first Formula 1 practice session in Bahrain. Caterham reserve driver Frijns participated in the first practice session in place of Kamui Kobayashi where he set the 21st fastest time. Frijns to test for Caterham in Bahrain

Robin Frijns will participate in the first practice session for Caterham at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix. It will be his first outing during a Grand Prix weekend, where he will drive Kamui Kobayashi's car. Caterham pleased with Kobayashi feedback

Caterham team principal Cyril Abiteboul says he is pleased with the input made by new signing Kamui Kobayashi. Former Toyota and Sauber driver Kobayashi joined Caterham in January having spent 2013 in the World Endurance Championship. Frijns pleased with Caterham progress

Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns says he is pleased with the team's progress since the first test at Jerez. Frijns opened proceedings in Bahrain for Caterham and set the seventh quickest time. The Dutch driver completed 68 laps. Frijns gets Jerez test outing

Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns will have his first outing for the team at the first test of the season next week. The Dutch driver will test the Caterham CT04 on Thursday at Jerez next week. Caterham will hand the first two days of running to rookie driver Marcus Ericsson. Formula 1 returnee Kamui Kobayashi will drive on the final day of the four day test.

Frijns joins Caterham as reserve driver

Robin Frijns has joined Caterham as the team's official test and reserve driver. Frijns won the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2012 and participated in selected GP2 rounds in 2013. He also acted as Sauber's reserve driver for a period in 2013 and took part in the young driver test at Silverstone.
