FIA to allow six 2016 in-season tyre tests

Pirelli explains 2016 tyre regulation tweaks

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has formally confirmed the changes made to regulations regarding the use of compounds in 2016. Pirelli will bring three compounds from its extended range of five to every Grand Prix in 2015, from which every driver can select at least two compounds to use. Stoffel Vandoorne posted the quickest time during Formula 1's post-race tyre test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Pirelli gets Abu Dhabi tyre test

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed that a 12-hour test will take place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in December. The company, which will remain in Formula 1 until at least the end of 2019, requested the extra running, which has now been approved by the FIA. Pirelli reveals remaining 2015 tyre compounds

Pirelli has confirmed the tyre compounds which it will bring to the final four races of the 2015 season. The Soft and Medium compound will be used at the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix, the same allocation which was utilised in 2014. Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli says it has concluded its investigation into the tyre failure suffered by Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel at the Belgian Grand Prix.
