Hulkenberg: Sixth maximum possible result

Nico Hulkenberg says he maximised Force India's potential by claiming sixth position at the Austrian Grand Prix. Hulkenberg qualified in fifth position and held the spot throughout the first stint, until he was ultimately overhauled by the Williams of Valtteri Bottas. "I’m very satisfied with sixth place today," said Hulkenberg. "Going into the race we always knew it would be difficult to keep the Williams of Bottas behind me, so bringing the car home in sixth was probably the maximum we could achieve. "I had […]

No reason to change drivers - Mallya

Force India Team Principal Vijay Mallya says he is sure the squad will make huge progress when its upgraded car is introduced and says that there is no reason for the outfit to change its driver line-up next season. Force India has had a comparatively quiet start to 2015 due to its undeveloped VJM08, which will be heavily revised ahead of the British Grand Prix. Mallya reckons that once the squad introduces its extensive upgrade package, both Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will be able […]

Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg says that early contact with McLaren's Fernando Alonso cost him a chance at finishing in the points at the Monaco Grand Prix. Alonso tapped Hulkenberg on the approach to Mirabeau, sending the German driver into the barriers, after which he drove over his own front wing and cost further time. Alonso was judged the guilty party and handed a five second time penalty while Hulkenberg recovered to finish just outside of the points in 11th position. "My race was obviously […]

Hulkenberg: Zero margin for error

Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg says that the Monaco Grand Prix leaves 'zero margin for error' and is consequently one of the most exhilarating circuits drivers face all season. Hulkenberg achieved his best Monaco result last year when he placed fifth and says that the whole lap is a 'challenge'. "From a driver's point of view, Monaco is one of the last tracks in the world where you have absolutely zero margin for error - one mistake and you are in the wall," he said. […]
