Heikki Kovalainen has emerged as a surprise contender to keep his Formula One career alive in 2013. Ousted by Caterham, the Finn is reportedly in talks with Marussia about replacing the Brazilian Luiz Razia, whose F1 debut is on the skids over delayed sponsorship payments. As the F1 teams prepare for the final pre-season test in Barcelona, Brazilian rookie Luiz Razia's Formula One future appears in tatters. Former Marussia driver Timo Glock has agreed a three-year contract to race in Germany's DTM touring car series with BMW. That is the claim of Sport Bild, reporting that the deal will be announced officially on Friday. Karthikeyan says FIA on his side after Vettel criticism

Narain Karthikeyan has hit back at Sebastian Vettel, following the latest bout of criticism from the reigning world champion. Vettel's Red Bull boss, Christian Horner, pointed the finger at HRT's Karthikeyan after Vettel lost the lead of the US grand prix on Sunday to Lewis Hamilton.
