Bottas beats teammate for pole

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas will start the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday from pole position after setting the fastest time during Qualifying. His fast lap of 1:28.769 set a new track qualifying record and was .023 of a second better than runner-up and teammate Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton held the previous track qualifying record of 1:29.493 set last year in Q3, and Bottas’ pole-winning time beat it by .724 of a second. Hamilton wins the Chinese GP

Three-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton won the Chinese Grand Prix from Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. It was the Mercedes driver’s 54th career Formula One victory, his first of the season and his fifth at the Shanghai International Circuit. Hamilton beats Vettel for pole

Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton will start the the Chinese Grand Prix from pole position after setting the fastest lap ever turned at the Shanghai International Circuit in Qualifying. His lap of 1:31.678 was .186 of a second better than runner-up Sebastian Vettel. It was Hamilton’s 63rd career Formula One pole and his sixth straight, dating back to last year’s United States Grand Prix. Mercedes wrap up pre-season testing

  Mercedes ended pre-season on a positive note, as Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas took the W08’s eight day test haul to a massive 1,096 total laps (5,102km) – equivalent to over 16 race distances at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Lauda and Wolff extends Mercedes deal

Mercedes-AMG Petronas officially confirmed that Toto Wolff and Niki Lauda have signed new contracts, which will keep them with the World Champion team until the end of 2020. This date aligns with the expiration of the current Commercial Agreement with Formula One Management. Bottas joins Mercedes for 2017

Mercedes officially confirmed that Valtteri Bottas will line up alongside Lewis Hamilton in 2017 and fill the vacant seat left by Nico Rosberg’s retirement from the sport at the end of last season.
