Verstappen leads Red Bull 1-2 in second practice

Max Verstappen edged out Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo to set the pace in the second practice session ahead of the Belgian GP as rivals Mercedes chose not to register a representative lap time. Verstappen's impressive 1:48.085 on the supersoft tyres saw him finish over two tenths clear of Ricciardo, although the Dutchman did encounter power unit issues towards the end of the session. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez were third and fifth fastest respectively, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel sandwiched between the Force India pair […]

Verstappen eager for 'go kart' Hungaroring

The Hungarian Grand Prix is one of the most established events on the Formula 1 calendar and next weekend's race marks the mid-point of the 2016 campaign. Verstappen, who took a then-career best of fourth at the 2015 event, is hopeful of a good result. "I always enjoy driving there because it’s a small track with a big car so it gives a bit […]

Ricciardo sure of better Austria showing

Daniel Ricciardo says he expects Red Bull to have its best chance yet of performing strongly at its home race as it prepares for next weekend's Austrian Grand Prix. Austria returned to the Formula 1 calendar with a race at the Red Bull Ring in 2014, but Ricciardo finished only eighth, while last year he finished at the foot of the top 10. Verstappen emerged in fourth place but found himself under pressure from Nico Rosberg, who had also made a second stop, triggered by a slow puncture. Rosberg attacked Verstappen […]
