Caterham unveils CT05 at Jerez

Caterham has their 2014 challenger, the Renault powered CT05. The team hopes that the CT05 will take Caterham to their first top 10 finish in a Formula 1 race as they approach their fifth year of competition. Kobayashi turned down Ferrari for Caterham

Kamui Kobayashi has revealed that he turned down the option of an improved Ferrari programme in order to sign for Caterham. Caterham confirmed on Tuesday that Kobayashi will race for the team in 2014, alongside Swedish rookie Marcus Ericsson. Kobayashi raced for Ferrari in the GT class of the World Endurance Championship in 2013 after failing to find a seat in Formula 1. Kobayashi makes Formula 1 comeback with Caterham

Kamui Kobayashi will return to Formula 1 this season after signing a deal to race with Caterham. Kobayashi drove for Toyota at the end of 2009 before racing for Sauber between 2010 and 2012. He failed to find a seat in Formula 1 for 2013 and instead raced for Ferrari in the World Endurance Championship, alongside a couple of Formula 1 outings for the team. Reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel has ended the second practice session fastest for this weekends European Grand Prix, just ahead of the Force India of Nico Hulkenberg and the Sauber of Kamui Kobayashi. McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton won a tense and tactical Canadian Grand Prix, making it seven winners from seven races in 2012. Hamilton took an unshakeable grip on this race after the first round of pitstops.
