GP2/3: Brits rule on afternoon of chaos

British drivers claimed victory in both GP2 and GP3 support races at the British Grand Prix. The GP2 Feature race began with Swede Marcus Ericsson on pole position but a fast start from Felipe Nasr resulted in the duo battling for the lead approaching Village. Felipe Nasr is likely to make his F1 debut in 2014, according to Livio Oricchio, the respected correspondent for O Estado de S.Paulo newspaper. Canamasas to undertake straightline F1 test

GP2 driver Sergio Canamasas will take part in straightline testing for Caterham in France on Thursday. Alexander Rossi says it was great to return to a Formula 1 car after taking part in first practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. Stefano Coletti secured victory in the GP2 sprint race around the streets of Monte Carlo. Coletti's win was the first home win for a Monegasque driver in either Formula 1 or its main support series since 1931. Johnny Cecotto has been suspended from GP2's sprint race in Monaco after being deemed to have caused the start crash in the feature race. Sam Bird claimed a dominant victory in the GP2 feature race in Monaco after the race was red flagged for 40 minutes. After a 20 minute delay due to accident damage in a preceding race, a pile up at Ste Devote blocked the circuit and forced several cars out of the race.
