Back on track after his Monza ban, Romain Grosjean has travelled to Singapore with a new coach, according to France's RMC Sport. Magny Cours applies for place on 2013 calendar

Magny Cours has lodged an application to be considered for F1's 2013 calendar. French language sources RMC, L'Equipe and AFP said the application was given to the country's sanctioning body FFSA this week. The reports said Paul Ricard also intends to apply for consideration next week. Jerome d'Ambrosio is on pole position to replace the banned Romain Grosjean at Monza. The FIA has banned Frenchman Grosjean for one race after causing the crash that ended championship contenders Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton's Belgian grand prix. Robert Kubica has tested a world rally car in France. Ford's technical director Christian Loriaux was quoted on Saturday by the French-language L'Avenir as saying works drivers Petter Solberg and Jari-Matti Latvala tested over four days at the asphalt Circuit des Ecuyers. Spa Francorchamps contract extended

The Walloon Region's economy minister Jean-Claude Marcourt has confirmed that the Belgian Grand Prix will continue to be held at Spa Francorchamps until 2015. The circuit, close to the German border, had been speculated to undertake a race sharing deal with France or Germany. But the plans to rotate with France were hindered by the election of the Socialist president, Francois Hollande.

Magny Cours to host second Young Driver Test

The former home of the French Grand Prix, Circuit de Magny Cours, is to host the second Young Driver test after next month's Italian Grand Prix. The circuit has not been used by Formula One since financial problems caused organisers to cancel the 2009 event. Spa agrees new three-year grand prix deal

Spa-Francorchamps will continue to host the Belgian grand prix for at least the next three years. Jean-Claude Marcourt, economics minister for the local Wallonia region, told public broadcaster RTBF that the "agreement in principle" for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons was reached with F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone.
