Coletti extends lead as Frijns stars

Stefano Coletti extended his GP2 championship lead after taking victory in the Sprint race at the Circuit de Catalunya. The Monegasque driver took the lead at the start of the race and was untroubled up front. But the star of the weekend was Hilmer Motorsport's Robin Frijns. Bird hangs on to secure victory

Sam Bird secured the first GP2 victory for Russian Time after a thrilling finale to the Sprint race in Bahrain. Bird took the lead from pole sitter and team-mate Tom Dillmann early on and established a comfortable lead over Stefano Coletti, who also quickly usurped Dillmann. Leimer eases to victory in Bahrain

Fabio Leimer took victory after dominating the GP2 Feature race in Bahrain. Leimer led from pole position and maintained a comfortable gap throughout the race to Stefano Coletti. Alexander Rossi claimed a podium on his debut for Caterham, ahead of a charging Felipe Nasr. Nasr's Carlin team-mate Joylon Palmer finished fifth, with Sam Bird in sixth. Leimer takes dominant GP2 pole

Fabio Leimer claimed pole position for the Feature race in Bahrain, setting a time almost a second quicker than his nearest rival. The Swiss driver set a time of 1:39.427, 0.993s quicker than Marcus Ericsson. Felipe Nasr was third, with championship leader Stefano Coletti finishing in fourth place. Swiss racer Fabio Leimer took the spoils as the GP2 season kicked off in Malaysia. Leimer passed pole sitter Stefano Coletti with five laps remaining while the Rapax driver was also passed by James Calado as he struggled with his tyres. Rapax's Stefano Coletti has taken the early lead in the GP2 championship after setting the fastest time in qualifying in Malaysia. Felipe Nasr joins GP2

Highly rated youngster Felipe Nasr will race in GP2 this season after joining DAMS. The 19 year old Brazilian won the Formula BMW Europe Championship in his first season in 2009 with 7 victories and 14 podium finishes.
