Ricciardo:

Daniel Ricciardo set the sixth fastest time in both practice sessions on Friday and reckons the team's performance can improve tomorrow, but not enough to overcome the top two teams in the championship standings. His team mate, Max Verstappen, finished FP1 on fourth and FP2 on fifth.  As Sochi is not one of Red Bull's favourite tracks, the team was already expecting a tough weekend here, the aim being to limit de damage and score as much as possible. The gap to Mercedes and Ferrari looks bigger in […]

Could Red Bull beat Hamilton in Sepang?

One of the best Grands Prix of the season featured close racing, heartbreak for Lewis Hamilton with a late race engine failure and a fascinating strategic battle at the heart of it, as Red Bull challenged Mercedes in a war game. For the second season in a row the dominant Mercedes team did not win in Malaysia, as Nico Rosberg fell to 21st at the start and Red Bull split the strategies across its two cars to attack Hamilton. There is much to digest and […]

Ricciardo wins dramatic Malaysian GP

Daniel Ricciardo held off Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen to take victory in a breathtaking Malaysia GP and end Mercedes' ten-race winning streak as Lewis Hamilton suffered a costly retirement. Ricciardo snatched the lead on Lap 40 as pole-sitter Hamilton, who held a comfortable advantage, saw his race come to a fiery and devastating end as he ground to a halt at Turn 1 following an engine failure. The Aussie had superbly defended from Verstappen a few laps earlier, holding his own as they sensationally […]

Could Singapore have had a different winner?

This year’s Singapore Grand Prix was one of the most interesting races of the season from a strategy point of view. It showed that when the performance of the leading cars is closely matched, the strategy possibilities created by having three different tyre compounds make for unpredictable racing and close finishes. There was a great deal of variation in the decisions made before and during the Grand Prix and some big decisions to be analysed, which gained places for some and cost places for others. […]

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Emmanuel Ogbah

Oklahoma State: The Bucs are another team that needs to generate more pressure, especially off the edge considering many of their sacks come from Pro Bowl DT Gerald McCoy.40. New York Giants Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State: Keyshawn Johnson's nephew also lands in the Meadowlands. Thomas has an impressive array of tools that would make him a mismatch as a No. We got after that ass and it was a hell of a win. It feels good."Bryant and Norman battled all game, at times needing […]

Rosberg wins chaotic Belgian GP

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg cruised to victory ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo in an incident-packed Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, but team-mate Lewis Hamilton was able to steer clear of the chaos to take third place and preserve his championship lead. Rosberg, who had lost the lead from pole position at the last two races, made a good getaway and was able to streak clear at the front while Max Verstappen, Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel all came to blows and were forced into […]

Verstappen leads Red Bull 1-2 in second practice

Max Verstappen edged out Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo to set the pace in the second practice session ahead of the Belgian GP as rivals Mercedes chose not to register a representative lap time. Verstappen's impressive 1:48.085 on the supersoft tyres saw him finish over two tenths clear of Ricciardo, although the Dutchman did encounter power unit issues towards the end of the session. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez were third and fifth fastest respectively, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel sandwiched between the Force India pair […]

Ricciardo: Red Bull pace is genuine

Daniel Ricciardo reckons Red Bull's pace during practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix is genuine as he placed second to Mercedes' Nico Rosberg, albeit over half a second down on the German. Ricciardo's lap on Super Soft tyres was 0.595s down on Rosberg, though he was able to finish three-tenths clear of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel at the Hungaroring. "We’re looking pretty good," he said. "We would like to be a bit closer to Mercedes. At the moment we’re sitting second best. We’re a bit quicker […]

Ricciardo rues 'lonely, boring' race to fourth

Daniel Ricciardo labelled his British Grand Prix as "lonely" and "boring" as he finished adrift of the leading trio in fourth position. Ricciardo dived into the pits to change from Wet to Intermediate tyres, hoping to profit as Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Max Verstappen stayed out. However, the Virtual Safety Car was implemented when Pascal Wehrlein spun off at Abbey and the lead trio were permitted to minimise their time loss when they also dived into the pits. It left Ricciardo significantly behind the […]
