Vettel triumphs at inaugural Indian GP

Sebastian Vettel won the first Indian GP with a lights-to-flag victory from pole position that also saw him record the fastest lap. The champion was followed to the flag by McLaren's Jenson Button and the third-placed Ferrari of Fernando Alonso. Perez makes amends with point

Sergio Perez professed himself pleased with a single point at the Indian Grand Prix saying it repaid the team after a practice-session error last Friday earned him a three-place grid penalty. The Mexican failed to heed yellow flags in the first practice session ahead of the race, with the result that having qualified 17th on Saturday, he started the race from 20th position. Parr: Williams will come back stronger

Adam Parr, Chairman of Williams F1 has predicted the new technical leadership at Grove will propel the famous team back up the grid next season.
