The 2007 world champion has raced for Lotus since the start of 2012 but will switch to Ferrari for next season. "I like to race, it’s the only reason why I'm here and it doesn’t matter [with] which team," Raikkonen said ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says he is determined to bounce back from a couple of tough weekends at the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix. Hamilton took pole position in Belgium and followed it up with third place in the race. But at Monza, the Brit was knocked out in Q2 and managed only ninth place in the race. Bottas expecting quick transition in Singapore

Williams driver Valtteri Bottas reckons his inexperience at the Marina Bay Street Circuit won't count against him at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix. Marina Bay is one of only a handful of circuits where the Finn has yet to drive, as he participated in 15 free practice sessions for Williams in 2012. But Bottas does not expect to be held back this weekend. "I've never driven at Singapore in a lower category and it was one of the tracks that I didn't drive in Friday […]

But Raikkonen insists he is still focused on 2013. "Hopefully it means I won’t be asked so much where I’m driving next year, but maybe it means more questions," Raikkonen […]

Alonso downplays apparent critical radio message

Fernando Alonso has downplayed suggestions that he criticised his Ferrari team during the closing stages of Q3. Reports suggested that Alonso had called his team 'stupid' for their botched plan to have one car follow the other. "The radio messages have been misunderstood, as is often the case when you don’t experience something first hand: the word ‘genius’ refers to the fact that we could have got out before Rosberg had gone by on his quick lap, but this should not raise any doubts about […]

Raikkonen concedes Lotus lack pace

Kimi Raikkonen admits that Lotus simply don't have the pace to challenge for overall honours at Monza, after neither Lotus driver made it through to Q3. Raikkonen set the eleventh fastest time in qualifying and will line up a row ahead of team-mate Romain Grosjean. "We were just not fast enough today," said Raikkonen. "We have been suffering a bit all weekend so far and it was the same today. It just isn’t our kind of circuit and layout where we have to run small […]
