UK broadcasters reveal 2014 plans

BBC Sport and Sky Sports have revealed their plans for the 2014 Formula 1 season. Sky Sports will show all 19 Formula 1 races live, while BBC Sport will show nine live, with highlights of the remaining 10 events. Bottas elated after claiming first points

Valtteri Bottas declared himself 'very happy' after claiming his first points in Formula 1. Bottas qualified in ninth place and made up a position at the start and briefly challenged Ferrari's Fernando Alonso for seventh, before slipping back. Jenson Button accepted responsibility for a first lap collision that compromised his progress at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lotus F1 Team chairman Gerard Lopez has insisted that he maintains a good relationship with Kimi Raikkonen, amid speculation of problems after the Indian Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso says splitting strategies is Ferrari's best hope of achieving a strong result in the Indian Grand Prix. Magnussen on brink of title after dominant performance

Kevin Magnussen dominated the penultimate round of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at Paul Ricard in France to stand on the brink of the title. Magnussen, part of McLaren's young driver scheme, secured both pole positions and stormed to victories in the two races. WMSC confirm 2014 changes

The World Motor Sport Council met on Friday. Here are the changes for 2014... Further to a request from Mercedes, it will be permitted to supply engines to a maximum of four Formula One teams in 2014. A penalty point system for drivers will be introduced. If a driver accumulates more than 12 points he will be banned from the next race. Points will stay on the driver’s licence for 12 months. McLaren has denied a radio call to Sergio Perez during Sunday's Spanish grand prix was a 'team order'. After Mexican Perez and teammate Jenson Button's wheel-banging recently in Bahrain, boss Martin Whitmarsh said the incident proved that McLaren lets its drivers race.
