Hamilton moves ahead in final session

Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton clocked the quickest time during the final practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton posted a 1:48.984 on Option tyres to finish the session 0.498s clear of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. Ferrari emerged as Mercedes' primary challenger with Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen in third and fourth. FIA removes Raidillon kerb

The FIA has removed the orange kerb at the top of the Eau Rouge-Raidillon complex, following complaints from drivers after Friday's practice sessions at the Belgian Grand Prix. A kerb was installed prior to the race weekend in order to deter drivers from running wide at the left hand kink at the top of the hill, thus gaining an advantage. Grosjean set for gearbox penalty

Romain Grosjean is set for a five place grid penalty at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix after Lotus elected to change the gearbox in his Lotus E23 Hybrid. Grosjean stopped on track at the end of the second session at Spa Francorchamps and overnight Lotus mechanics have replaced his gearbox. Max Verstappen is set to receive a 10 place grid penalty after Renault was forced to change the engine in his Toro Rosso following Friday's free practice sessions for the Belgian Grand Prix. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel says he is sure he will make progress with his SF15-T on Saturday after struggling during Friday's sessions for the Belgian Grand Prix. Rosberg was unable to post a time during the preliminary stages of running as he suffered a loss of power as he approached Blanchimont towards the end of his first flying lap.
