Rosberg critical of 'not acceptable' tyre situation

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg says the tyre failures which befell both him and Sebastian Vettel at the Belgian Grand Prix are not acceptable and that the situation will need to be amended prior to the next race in Italy. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says he is proud of the efforts of his squad as it collected its seventh 1-2 finish from 11 races in 2015. Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli says that a request over the maximum length of stints was rejected by the sport towards the end of the 2013 season. Williams has apologised to Valtteri Bottas after an unusual tyre mix-up resulted in the Finn being handed a drive through penalty during the Belgian Grand Prix.
