Ecclestone tells Raikkonen to ditch Hunt tribute

Kimi Raikkonen has reportedly been told to remove the depiction of 1976 world champion James Hunt from the top of his Monaco-spec helmet. An unabashed fan of the wild, drinking, smoking, womanising British driver, Finn Raikkonen went one step further a year ago in the Principality, wearing the late Hunt's iconic black helmet livery. This year, the Lotus driver's tribute to Hunt is a stylish picture on the top of his helmet, bearing the words 'James Hunt, 1976 world champion'. And on the back of […]

Button believes Perez 'too aggressive' in Bahrain scrap

Jenson Button says team-mate Sergio Perez was too aggressive during their battle in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Button and Perez swapped positions several times during the race, but their closest encounter came at Turn 4, where Perez nudged Button. "I was very vocal on the radio, emotions were running high, but I would say exactly the same again." After the contact, Button urged McLaren to 'calm him down'. "The racing was great out there. The only person that wasn't was Checo [Sergio Perez]. He was […]

Deja vu as Vettel eases to Bahrain victory

Sebastian Vettel eased to his 28th career victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean completed the podium for Lotus, meaning that the top three was a carbon copy of last year's event. Nico Rosberg led away from pole position but Ferrari's Fernando Alonso usurped Vettel at the first corner. The Red Bull driver fought back and slipped ahead of Alonso into Turn 5. A few laps later Vettel took the lead from Rosberg at the same place. Alonso had been in […]
