GP2, GP3 confirm 2014 calendar

GP2 has announced that there will be 11 rounds in next year's championship. The return of the Austrian Grand Prix for the first time since 2003 means that GP2 will race at the Red Bull Ring for the first time. The championship will also race at the inaugural Russian Grand Prix in Sochi. The addition of Austria and Russia means that rounds in Malaysia and Singapore have been dropped. FIA confirms official 2014 F1 calendar

Races in New Jersey, Mexico and South Korea were dropped from Formula One's official 2014 calendar on Wednesday, with the season remaining at 19 races instead of a record 22. FR3.5 2014: Germany replaces Austria on calendar

The Formula Renault 3.5 Series will race at the Nurburgring next season in place of a round at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. The renovated circuit, formerly the A1 Ring, hosted a round of the championship this season but drops off the calendar after just a single year. WMSC confirms 2014 Formula 1 calendar

The World Motor Sport Council has unveiled the calendar for the 2014 Formula 1 season. The 22 race season will begin in Australia in March and end in Brazil in November. Whitmarsh: 21 races will be tough in 2014

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh believes that next year's Formula 1 calendar will be tough for teams. The 2014 season is set to feature 21 races, with Austria and Mexico returning to the sport and Russia joining the circus. Sirotkin signs 2014 Sauber race contract

Sergey Sirotkin has finally signed a real contract to race a Sauber in 2014. Before the Russian teen's visit to Hinwil this week, Sirotkin's race seat was a mere ambition as part of the Russian rescue deal. But Austria's Osterreich newspaper reports that a real contract has been signed now. Ecclestone insists 2014 calendar to have 20 races
