Sutil waiting on Force India decision

By on Thursday, February 21, 2013

Adrian Sutil says he has done all he can to prove that he deserves to return to the sport with Force India.

Sutil raced for the team between 2007 and 2011 but was dropped in favour of Nico Hulkenberg for 2012.

With Hulkenberg moving on to Sauber, the team now has a vacancy alongside Paul di Resta.

"Oh boy, it feels great to be back. It is so much fun and I never would have imagined that I’d miss all that so much," Sutil told The Official F1 website after completing 78 laps of the Circuit de Catalunya.

"My manager and I did all we can to make the decision easy for the team. Now we can only wait and cross our fingers," he added.

Sutil is up against Jules Bianchi for the remaining seat, although the German understands that a decision will be made prior to the final test on February 28th.

"My understanding is that the test next week in Barcelona will definitely feature both drivers from Force India’s 2013 driver line-up," he said.
