Lewis Hamilton says it is a 'special' feeling to become the most successful British driver in the history of Formula 1.

Hamilton claimed his 10th win of the 2014 season to take his 32nd race victory, eclipsing Nigel Mansell's previous British win record of 32.

"I've been so fortunate to have an incredible team and an incredible car, and I had a great opponent here today," he said.

"I'm so privileged. To be at the top of the wins is quite special."

Team-mate Nico Rosberg trailed home second for the 10th time this year and expressed his frustration after being passed by Hamilton.

"It definitely sucks for me today, but that's the way it is," he admitted.

"It took too long for me to find my rhythm. Once Hamilton got by I found my rhythm but that was too late."

Hamilton now leads Rosberg by 24 points in the title fight.
