Sauber Team Principal Monisha Kaltenborn is sure that the operation will be able to solve its challenging predicament "shortly" as it bids to secure its future.
Sauber has struggled financially in recent months amid delayed payments, with the issues impacting on-track performance, with no car updates across the past few events.
Sauber has yet to score a point in 2016 but when asked for an update on Sauber's situation, Kaltenborn said "we have certain challenges and we are working very hard to overcome the situation and I’m confident that we’ll resolve it shortly."
Kaltenborn was pressed further on whether Sauber has a solution in order to secure its status long-term.
"We are working on that since a while now and we also know that we need that," she explained.
"If you look at today’s Formula One environment to be strong as an independent team you need to have a strong partners.
"So we have always been open to that and now we are pursuing our chances and we hope to resolve that soon."
