Nico Rosberg rued throwing away a potential victory in the United States Grand Prix and labelled team-mate Lewis Hamilton as “aggressive” at the start of the race.
Rosberg led during the final stages of a chaotic race at the Circuit of the Americas but the German went wide at Turn 16, handing the lead to Hamilton.
Rosberg was also unhappy with Hamilton’s conduct at the first corner, where the pair made minor contact which left Rosberg dropping to fourth.
“I got wheel spin, it’s never happened to me ever, not even in testing, or racing, unbelievable.
“Turn 1 for sure was very aggressive, what can I sayfor sure it was extremely aggressive, we hit each other, or I would say Lewis came into me so that’s not good.”
“I was ahead, mid-corner, I had a right to the track, Lewis was one step too far and that’s not OK.”
